LIPU – storage system for heavy duty large steel plates and sheets
Safety for handling large steel sheets.
Based on patented technology, Lipu Oy has designed its LIPU product family for storing large metal sheet. Hydraulic-powered LIPU storage racks turn the desired sheet bundle into a horizontal position, making it easy to take either a single sheet or bundle of sheets from the storage and lift it with a bridge crane. Heavy steel sheet bundles can be browsed like books.
The range includes systems for 1.5 – 3.5 m wide and 3-16 m long sheets, with storage space up to 30 tons. One system can have up to 16 storage slots.

Because of the LIPU storage system, even the largest sheet storage can be placed near the production machinery. The right sheet is instantly available and conveniently accessible, without any difficulties and downtime with transportation between production facilities.

Due to the modular design, the LIPU storage system can be easily customized to the right sheet size and capacity.

LIPU systems have options for 6, 8, 10, 12 or 16 storage slots.
Steel plate storage system that will last
Our steel plate storage system is free from complicated and failure-prone structures. This means that our systems are easy to maintain, with their calculated service life being as long as 25 years. Furthermore, the Lipu system structures have a warranty period of five years.
Control options
The control of LIPU systems can be selected according to the degree of automation desired by the customer; both manual and automatic options are available and customizable.
The manual control is a fully controlled option, where a user keeps pressing the control button until the desired storage slot is available.
on a semi-automatic control device, the desired storage slot is selected from the touch screen.
It is also possible to control LIPU storage equipment through a factory system, where LIPU is a part of a fully automated warehouse.
