Automated or manual
LIPU storage systems can be tailored to almost any number of pivotable storage seats and frames. The system can be controlled manually or with an automation system. The automation system can also be connected to the storages information system, that monitors the warehouse situation in real-time.
Each subsequently required plates are identified by an automatic control production program – it opens the correct storage seat, removes the plate and transfers it to the processing station with a crane. The storage system also prepares itself automatically to transfer the next plate during the process.
Horizontal position helps the handling and improves work safety
Hydraulically operated warehousing system stores sheets and plates in vertical position, so they can be easily loaded and unloaded while the selected storage seat is in horizontal position. Goods can be handled by a bridge crane or a forklift from four directions: front, above and each of the sides. Modular storage system also improves work safety, thanks to the horizontal handling.
Modular storage system saves floor space and reduces the processing time
LIPU system reduces the warehouses floor space requirement even up to 80%. In addition to the minimal space requirement the manufacturing facility can also store plates in more close proximity to the processing station and reduce the time wasted with transfers.
